General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the Alaskan Malamute Ranch
1. Scope of Application
1.1. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services provided by the Alaskan Malamute Ranch to its guests (hereinafter referred to as “Guest”). This includes sled dog tours, vacation home rentals, the sale of gift vouchers, and all other activities offered by the provider.
1.2. By booking a service, using an accommodation, or purchasing a voucher, the Guest accepts these GTC.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1. After booking, the Guest will receive an invoice. A deposit of 30% of the total price is due within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
2.2. The remaining balance is payable no later than 4 weeks before the start of the trip.
2.3. For short-term bookings (within 30 days before the start of the trip), the full amount is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.
3. Gift Vouchers
3.1. Ordering and Shipping
Gift vouchers can be purchased on-site or by ordering via email, telephone, or our website. The voucher will be sent by mail to the address provided by the buyer after full payment has been received. Additional shipping fees may apply, as specified during the ordering process.
3.2. Redeeming Vouchers
3.2.1. Vouchers can only be redeemed for the services specified on the voucher. If no specific service is indicated, the voucher is valid for all services offered by the provider.
3.2.2. Cash payouts or partial payouts of the voucher value are excluded.
3.2.3. Vouchers are valid only until the expiration date specified on the voucher. After the validity period expires, the voucher becomes void. The statutory limitation period of three years remains unaffected.
3.3. Loss or Damage
The provider assumes no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of vouchers. Replacement vouchers will not be issued.
3.4. Right of Withdrawal
3.4.1. When purchasing a voucher remotely (e.g., by phone or email), the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers applies. The buyer may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the voucher without providing reasons.
3.4.2. The right of withdrawal expires if the voucher has already been fully or partially redeemed.
3.4.3. Withdrawal must be submitted in writing to [Contact Address]. The buyer is responsible for any return shipping costs incurred.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 General Conditions
4.1.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the provider.
4.1.2. The provider reserves the right to postpone or cancel bookings in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions, health issues (human or canine), or force majeure. The Guest will be offered an alternative date or a refund.
4.2 Cancellation Terms for Accommodation Rental and Adventure Week
4.2.1. For cancellations up to 30 days before arrival, the deposit will be refunded.
4.2.2. For cancellations within 30 days before arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
4.2.3. For cancellations within 7 days before arrival, the full amount will be charged.
4.3 Cancellation Terms for Sled Dog Tours
4.3.1. For cancellations up to 14 days before the scheduled date, the deposit will be refunded.
4.3.2. For cancellations within 14 days before the scheduled date, the deposit will not be refunded.
4.3.3. For cancellations within 48 hours before the tour, the full amount will be charged.
4.4 Special Rules for Cancellations by the Provider
4.4.1. The provider reserves the right to postpone or cancel bookings under the following conditions:

Extreme weather conditions that endanger the safety of guests or animals.

Health issues affecting the dogs or staff.

Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or those not in a physical condition suitable for the activity.
4.4.2. In these cases, an alternative date will be offered. If the alternative date is not accepted, the Guest will receive a full refund.
5. Disclaimer
5.1. The provider is not liable for the loss or damage of personal belongings, such as cameras, mobile phones, glasses, or other valuables used during activities or in accommodations.
5.2. Participation in activities is at the Guest’s own risk. The provider is not liable for injuries or accidents caused by overestimation of abilities, inadequate equipment, or extreme weather conditions.
6. Health and Fitness of Guests
6.1. Guests must inform the provider of any health issues that may affect their participation in activities before the start of the tour.
6.2. The provider reserves the right to exclude guests from participation if they are deemed unfit to safely complete the activity. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
7. Behavior During Activities
7.1. Guests are required to follow the instructions of the provider and staff at all times.
7.2. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from activities. No refund will be provided in such cases.
7.3. The provider reserves the right to cancel activities or exclude guests if their behavior endangers others’ safety.
8. Pets and Liability
8.1. Pets are allowed with prior agreement. The Guest is responsible for ensuring that pets do not cause disturbances or damage.
8.2. Dogs must have valid liability insurance, which must be presented before arrival.
8.3. Guests are liable for all damages caused by their pets, both in accommodations and during activities.
9. Waste Separation and Environmental Protection
9.1. Sweden has strict waste separation regulations. Guests must dispose of waste properly in the designated containers (e.g., for paper, plastic, glass, metal, organic waste, and residual waste).
9.2. If waste is not properly separated, the provider reserves the right to charge an additional fee for disposal.
10. Use of Accommodation
10.1. The guest is required to treat the accommodation and its inventory with care. Any damages must be reported to the provider immediately.
10.2. Check-in and check-out times are as follows:

Check-in: Check-in is possible from 10:00 AM.

Check-out: Check-out must be completed by 3:00 PM.

Alternative times can be arranged individually by prior agreement with the provider.
10.3. Before departure, the guest must ensure that the accommodation is left in a tidy condition. Waste must be properly disposed of, and major dirt or messes must be cleaned. Otherwise, an additional cleaning fee may be charged.
10.4. The provider reserves the right to request a security deposit for the accommodation, which will be refunded after departure, provided no damages are found.
11. Smoking
11.1. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all enclosed spaces.
11.2. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, and cigarette waste must be disposed of in designated containers.
11.3. Smoking near the dogs is strictly prohibited to prevent harm and injury to the animals.
11.4. Violations may result in additional cleaning fees and exclusion from accommodations or activities.
12. Alcohol and Drugs
12.1. The consumption of alcohol or drugs is prohibited during activities.
12.2. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from participation without refund.
13. Guest Responsibility
13.1. Extreme Weather Conditions
Guests acknowledge that activities in Lapland's wilderness may involve extreme weather conditions. Proper clothing and equipment are strongly recommended.
13.2. Physical Requirements
Guests are responsible for assessing their own fitness for participation. The provider reserves the right to exclude unfit guests for safety reasons.
13.3. Food and Equipment
Guests are responsible for their own food and equipment unless expressly provided by the provider.
13.4. Injuries and Health Issues
The provider is not liable for injuries or health issues caused by overestimation of abilities, inadequate equipment, or extreme weather conditions.
14. Price Adjustments for Long-Term Bookings
14.1. For bookings made more than 12 months in advance, the provider reserves the right to adjust prices if significant changes in operating costs, energy prices, or other essential cost factors occur between booking and service provision.
14.2. The price adjustment will not exceed 10% of the originally agreed price and will be communicated to the Guest in writing at least 3 months before the service begins.
14.3. If the price adjustment is unacceptable to the Guest, they may cancel the booking free of charge within 14 days of receiving the adjustment notice.
