Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) of the Alaskan Malamute Ranch
1. Scope
1.1. These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) apply to all services provided by the Alaskan Malamute Ranch to its guests (hereinafter referred to as "Guest"). These include sled dog tours, holiday home rentals, the sale of vouchers, and any other activities offered by the provider.
1.2. By booking a service, using accommodation, or purchasing a voucher, the Guest accepts these T&Cs.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1. After booking, the Guest will receive an invoice. A deposit of 30% of the total price is due within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
2.2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than one week before arrival.
2.3. For short-term bookings (within 30 days before arrival), the full amount is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.
3. Vouchers
3.1. Ordering and Delivery
Vouchers can be purchased on-site or ordered via email, phone, or through our website. The voucher will be sent by post to the buyer’s specified address after full payment is received. Additional shipping fees may apply and will be indicated during the ordering process.
3.2. Redeeming Vouchers
3.2.1. Vouchers can only be redeemed for the services specified on the voucher. If no specific service is mentioned, the voucher can be used for any service offered by the provider.
3.2.2. Cash redemption or partial cash payouts of the voucher value are excluded.
3.2.3. Vouchers are valid until the expiration date printed on the voucher. After the validity period expires, the voucher will no longer be valid. The statutory limitation period of three years remains unaffected.
3.3. Loss or Damage
The provider assumes no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers. Replacement vouchers will not be issued.
3.4. Right of Withdrawal
3.4.1. For voucher purchases made remotely (e.g., by phone or email), the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers applies. The buyer may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the voucher without providing a reason.
3.4.2. The right of withdrawal expires if the voucher has already been fully or partially redeemed.
3.4.3. The withdrawal must be submitted in writing to [contact address]. Any return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the provider.
4.2. For cancellations up to 30 days before arrival, the deposit will be refunded.
4.3. For cancellations within 30 days before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations within 7 days before arrival, the full amount will be charged.
4.4. The provider reserves the right to postpone bookings in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions, health issues (human or dog), or force majeure. The Guest will receive a replacement date or a refund.
5. Liability Disclaimer
5.1. The provider is not liable for the loss or damage of personal items belonging to the Guest, such as cameras, mobile phones, glasses, or other valuables used during activities or while staying at the accommodation.
5.2. The Guest participates in the activities offered at their own risk. The provider accepts no liability for injuries or accidents resulting from overestimation of abilities, inadequate equipment, or extreme weather conditions.
6. Health and Suitability of the Guest
6.1. The Guest is required to inform the provider of any health issues that may impact their ability to participate in activities before the tour begins.
6.2. The provider reserves the right to exclude Guests from participation if they are deemed unfit to safely take part in the activity. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
7. Behavior During Activities
7.1. The Guest agrees to follow the instructions of the provider and its staff.
7.2. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from the activities. In such cases, no refund will be granted.
7.3. The provider reserves the right to terminate activities or exclude Guests whose behavior endangers the safety of others.
8. Pets and Liability
8.1. Pets are allowed only with prior approval. The Guest is responsible for ensuring their pets do not cause disturbances or damage.
8.2. Dogs must be covered by valid liability insurance, which must be presented before arrival.
8.3. The Guest is liable for any damages caused by their pets, whether in the accommodation or during activities.
9. Waste Sorting and Environmental Protection
9.1. Sweden has strict waste sorting regulations. The Guest is required to dispose of waste in the designated containers (e.g., for paper, plastic, glass, metal, organic waste, and residual waste).
9.2. If the Guest fails to properly sort waste, the provider reserves the right to charge an additional fee for waste disposal.
10. Use of Accommodation
10.1. The Guest is required to treat the accommodation and its inventory with care. Any damages must be reported to the provider immediately.
10.2. Before departure, the Guest must leave the accommodation in a tidy condition. Waste must be disposed of correctly, and major messes cleaned. Failure to do so may result in additional cleaning fees.
10.3. The provider reserves the right to require a security deposit for the accommodation, which will be refunded after departure, provided no damages are found.
11. Smoking
11.1. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas.
11.2. Smoking outdoors is permitted only in designated areas. Cigarette waste must be disposed of in designated containers.
11.3. Smoking near the dogs is strictly forbidden to ensure their safety and well-being.
11.4. Violations may result in additional cleaning fees and exclusion from the accommodation or activity.
12. Alcohol and Drugs
12.1. The consumption of alcohol or drugs during activities is strictly prohibited.
12.2. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from participation. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
13. Guest Responsibility
13.1. Extreme Weather Conditions
The Guest acknowledges that activities in Lapland’s wilderness may occur under extreme weather conditions. Guests are strongly advised to dress appropriately and bring suitable equipment.
13.2. Physical Requirements
The Guest is responsible for assessing their physical suitability for participation. The provider reserves the right to exclude Guests who are unfit to safely participate in activities.
13.3. Food and Equipment
The Guest is responsible for their own food and equipment unless otherwise explicitly provided by the provider.
13.4. Injuries and Health Issues
The provider accepts no liability for injuries or health issues resulting from overestimation of abilities, inadequate equipment, or extreme weather conditions.
14. Price Adjustments for Long-Term Bookings
14.1. For bookings made more than 12 months in advance, the provider reserves the right to adjust prices if significant changes occur in operating costs, energy prices, or other essential cost factors between the booking and the service date.
14.2. The price adjustment will not exceed 10% of the originally agreed price and will be communicated in writing to the Guest no later than three months before the service date.
14.3. If the price adjustment is unacceptable to the Guest, they have the right to cancel the booking free of charge within 14 days of receiving the notice of adjustment.
