Gardener (m/f/d)
About Us
We are the Alaskan Malamute Ranch Lapland AB – a family-run, nature-oriented business in the heart of Swedish Lapland.
Our ranch is surrounded by untouched wilderness and is home not only to our guests but also to our Alaskan Malamutes, who are the heart and soul of everything we do.
In addition to our guesthouses and the tiny house, we maintain extensive outdoor areas, forests, trails, and fire pits – all of which require regular care, reliability, and helping hands.
If you enjoy working outdoors, like handling machines, and don’t mind snow, wood, or a bit of dirt, then you’re exactly the person we’re looking for.
Your Tasks
Winter (October – April)
-
Snow clearing with tractor, wheel loader, or snow blower
-
Spreading gravel or sand on paths and driveways to ensure safe walkways
-
Keeping small paths, access routes, parking areas, and entrances free of snow
-
Distributing firewood to guesthouses, fire pits, and the main building
-
Maintenance and upkeep of outdoor areas during snow and ice conditions
Summer (May – September)
-
Lawn care: mowing, trimming hedges, and maintaining vegetation
-
Working in the forest: preparing and handling firewood, maintaining wood supplies
-
Using brush cutters, chainsaws, and other forestry and garden tools
-
Repair and maintenance work outdoors (fences, wooden structures, paths, minor construction tasks)
-
Caring for plants, flower beds, and outdoor areas around the guesthouses and the ranch
Your Responsibilities
-
You take responsibility for the overall appearance of the Alaskan Malamute Ranch – from well-kept paths and green areas to fire pits and outdoor facilities.
-
You identify with the ranch and its surroundings, have an eye for detail, and can independently recognize where work needs to be done.
-
In short: you make sure our ranch looks and feels the way it should – natural, well cared for, and welcoming, no matter the season.
